Tennis Grip Sizes

The grip size of a tennis racquet is not complicated, but seems to be a problem for some players.

The size is normally shown on the racquet handle as L2, G3, 4½ or something similar.

The most normal sizes are G2, G3, G4, and G5

The letter G can be ignored as it is the number that refers to the actual grip size.

Each unit represents one eighth of an inch (the reason is not known)

A G2 will be 4 inches plus 2 units making a total of four and one quarter (2 eighths) inches

The measurement is made around the handle.
