Tennis String Gauge
You should not have a problem in selecting the correct gauge of tennis string. The general rule is that thinner gauges usually provide a better response, and a larger gauge is selected for improved durability.
The gauge of a tennis string is normally measured in millimetres (mm). It can sometimes also be shown as Gauge 16 or Gauge 17.
A range of 1.20 to 1.35 mm normally covers most strings. Most players should find a medium gauge of about 1.25 mm is suitable.
